Amy Shuler Goodwin is a Senior Communications and Research Strategist for Mark Blankenship Enterprises. She has been the chief spokesperson for presidential candidates, governors, congressmen and mayors during her 16 year career and has done thousands of national, state and local interviews. Goodwin previously served four years as a senior staff member and as the chief spokesperson for Governor Bob Wise. She also served as a director of communications for a national presidential campaign and led communications for the City of Charleston, West Virginia. She is a former anchor and reporter for WCHS-TV in Charleston and WTRF-TV in Wheeling. Amy has worked in the news industry overseas as a researcher for ABC News in London, England. Goodwin is known for her quality of work helping clients use opinion and issues research to develop communications and messaging strategy. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in journalism with a minor in political science from West Virginia University. Goodwin has taught senior level public relations courses for the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University and currently serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Charleston where she teaches public relations and writing courses. She is a member of national and West Virginia chapters of the Public Relations Society of America. In 2003 she was named one of the West Virginia Executive Young Guns of the Year and was recognized in 2004 as a Distinguished West Virginian by the Governor for her meritorious service to the state. |
